3rd February – Old Roots, New Shoots at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall featuring Jenny Sturgeon, Old Blind Dogs, Best Girl Athlete Rick Redbeard Clype

5th February – BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Final at Glasgow City Halls.

Lonely in the Bothy / BBC R2 Young Folk Award Semi’s

Exciting news! The band are into the semi-finals of the BBC RADIO 2 YOUNG FOLK AWARD! Here is a new release – Lonely in the Bothy, featuring the wonderful Aidan Moodie, Madeleine Stewart, Callum Cronin Ross Miller.

Battle of the Folk Bands

Delighted that the Iona Fyfe Band have been selected for the Hands up for Trad Battle of the Folk Bands finals which are held on 7th May 2017 at TradFest in Edinburgh. The competition will see 5 bands perform a 15 minute slot. Well done to other finalists DOSCA, HECLA, Trip, and Tina Rees and Kevin Murphy Band.
