After a bumpy year, I have the BEST news. I’m nominated for Scots Singer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. But I need YOUR help. The winner is determined by public vote. Winning would be such a boost!

Scots Language Awards
The Scots Language Awards are underway and I’m delighted to be performing with Euan McLaughlin Music and Finlay Johnston. Tomorrow is Tarbert Music Festical where I’ll be doing an acoustic set with Dan Brown on keys and Dylan Cairns on fiddle. So unbelievably lucky to get to perform with such talented musicians ♥️
Iona Fyfe: The courageous Sinéad O’Connor and her legacy of strength
I wrote down some thoughts for The National Newspaper on the tragic untimely loss of a courageous, radical and fearless woman who always spoke and sought her truth.
“Sinéad O’Connor was the woman who paved the way for the next generation of singers and folksingers’ to speak out and advocate for causes, despite the likelihood of overwhelming public critique and consequences for their careers. We owe it to Sinéad to carry on her work.
Radical, fearless, articulate, political singers who stick their flag to the mast is exactly what we need more of and I’m glad to have wonderful women like Karine Polwart, Cara Dillon and Eddi Reader to look up to.”
Saltire Society 40 Under 40
A huge honour to be recognised in the The Saltire Society 40 Under 40 list alongside other Scots leid freens Ally Heather, Emma Grae and Len Pennie. Thanks to The Scotsman for the write up and Brian Ferguson.
