Delighted that the Iona Fyfe Band have been selected for the Hands up for Trad Battle of the Folk Bands finals which are held on 7th May 2017 at TradFest in Edinburgh. The competition will see 5 bands perform a 15 minute slot. Well done to other finalists DOSCA, HECLA, Trip, and Tina Rees and Kevin Murphy Band.

“Young folk singer Iona Fyfe grew up in Huntly, Aberdeeenshire, and this EP draws on the song tradition of northeast Scotland. Thoughtful instrumental accompaniment is provided by fiddle, guitars, double bass, pipes, piano, shruti box. Charlie Grey’s fiddle is particularly engaging.”
